We are back!!!..

After first being suppressing the  print version by the wrongful imprisonment of the Editor and a contributor. Then by corrosion of an internet provider.
We are back!!! Many thanks to the Fleming Multimedia Group for their courageous support.
We intend to publish Monthly and more often as the need arises.
We plan to offer an informed analysis of news and events in Ireland and feature things of Irish interest.
You will never be in any doubt of our Irish Republican background and our support for a United and Free Ireland.

To be or not to be?

Mush ink and time has been spent by the media lately in speculation since the recent report from the IMC ( International Monitoring Commission). They all seem to ask who done it ( The Great Bank Robbery) and all have similar answers, the PIRA. Who really cares about rip off banks anyway?
The PIRA has not been at war for some time, are they going back to war? Will they go back to war on a limited basis?
The forces arrayed north and south against Provisional Sinn Fein are the most vicious they have been since before the Good Friday Agreement. Does this mean a united Ireland is not right around the corner? Rumors of splits are circulating once again. Can Gerry and Martin hold it together? Can they somehow use all this to propel themselves to even greater electoral heights north and south?
The one question never asked is: Who is severed best by the Good Friday Agreement? If one is to be honest it serves only the British outright. It seems to have served PSF  at least for a while, Haven't they become the largest nationalist party in Occupied Ireland? Do they threaten the Free State establishment? Since they have stopped being a Republican party, they have gotten a majority of the nationalist vote. They have gotten the previously elusive Middle Class vote. They have tapped into a latent nationalist vain in the south. Can this vote be held?
What does all this mean for the future? Will the PIRA fold up it's tents and go home? Can the GFA be saved? Should it be saved? Many questions, far fewer answers. Who is best served by all this uncertainty? You guessed it, the Brits and the want to be Brits of the DUP and their fellow Unionists. It surely does not serve the interests of a future United Ireland.
The last question for today is : Can Provisional Sinn Fein lead us to a United Ireland now or the future?

New Evidence Concerning 1970's Arms Trial

The campaign manager (Derry Civil Rights veteran Fionnbarra O’Dochartaigh) of the Captain Kelly Justice Campaign has called for the Taoiseach to make a public apology to the Kelly family.

Mr. O’Dochartaigh revealed that documents have been unearthed under the newly introduced Freedom of Information Act which show that the British and Irish governments tried to suppress the publication of Captain Kelly’s book, “Orders for the Captain”, which details his account of the Arms Trial. He said that " the documents, released by the Irish National Archive and the British Home Office, reveal that officials in both countries were monitoring the progress of the book closely. “Correspondence between the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London and the British Embassy in Dublin, in January 1971, show that British officials were trying to get an advance copy of the book before it was published to see if they had any grounds for suppression."
"Officials from the Home Office were in talks with a London publisher, Mark Collins, who was looking at the manuscript at the time”.
"A document from the British Embassy in Dublin, dated January 11th 1971, reference is made to conversations with the Taoiseach of the day, Jack Lynch, about the release of Captain Kelly’s book." " It also. suggested that the book should be suppressed saying :”If the book exhibits the same level of veracity as Kelly’s statements so far, I would advise Collins to scrutinize it very carefully indeed, as otherwise it might come a bit expensive, and they might also be well advised to wait until all the evidence in the Public Accounts Committee enquiry has appeared."
:”Over the course of the campaign we have come across a vast number of documents relating to this case. The 30 year rule in the South and the new Freedom of Information Act has helped us considerably in our investigations."
“What we are hoping for now is for Bertie Ahern to meet the Kelly family and apologise. We have been calling for this for some time now. Now that the British prime Minister has apologized to the Conlon family, we want Bertie to do the same for the Kelly family. They know the truth, and the people of Ireland deserve to know the truth” Mr. O’Dochartaigh said.
