buried: St. Simon and Jude Church, Norwich
Admitted to the Freedom of Norwich 5 November 1551; Sheriff 1556; Mayor 1590; Alderman in 1591 and 1592. 
In 1591 he purchased the manor house Rackheath Hall in Norwich.

<---- Pettus Monument at St. Simon and Jude Church to Sir John Pettus and his son, Sir Augustine Pettus. The reclining figure is Sir John, the kneeling figures above are Sir Augustine and his wife with their children. There is also a monument to Thomas Pettus south of the chancel arch; according to his epitaph, his good name was known in all the towns of England.
